‘Batman: Arkham City’ Box Art Revealed

As the
months fall off the calendar, the wait for Batman: Arkham City is getting a
little easier. It’s safe to say that almost everyone is eagerly anticipating
the game’s release this October. Warner Bros. has released a snap of the box
art; it’s not much, but when considering the game, anything is better than
nothing. They probably could have just released the spine of it and some people
would still probably flip their lid over this.

L.A Noire Nicholson Electroplating Review

Nicholson Electroplating Disaster, is the first L.A Noire DLC that Rockstar put out. The case is base on the real world O’Connor Electro-Plating plant explosion, that killed 17 people in 1947, but the developer, Team Bondi, changed the facts of the case to fictionalize it. Like the two pre order DLC, A Slip of the Tongue and The Naked City, Nicholoson Electronplating is a diversion from the plot, which is woven into the all of the cases. If you chose to skip out on this adventure, you wouldn’t be missing anything vital. What would you would be missing an intriguing case with some of the best action scenes in the game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops “Annihilation” Pack Out Now for Xbox

The third DLC pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops is here… But only if you own an Xbox.  While those PlayStation 3 owners are poking around with the zombie Nazi mode in World at War,
those of us with good taste in consoles will be enjoying the new
exclusive “Annihilation” pack.  Well, at least it’s exclusive for now.
 Eventually Activision will take down the velvet ropes and let in the
Sony rabble, but we’ll have the Shangri-La zombie map all to ourselves
for a while.

Supreme Court Confirms What We already Knew

Today the Supreme Court ruled that video games should be protected by the First Amendment, just like film, TV, theater, and freestyle poetry jams.  The ruling came when the SCOTUS voted against a California law called Brown Versus Electronic Entertainment Merchants, which intended to forbid retailers from selling games deemed excessively violent to people under the age of 18.

IGN Editoral Department Suffers Heavy Losses

This week IGN Entertainment laid off four members of its editorial department. Dana Jongewaard, IGN’s Editor in Chief in “expanding audience” posted on Facebook on Thursday that she has left the company. Dana worked on IGN’s Greenpixel site and the Girlfight podcast. Fellow Co-host of the show, Nicole Tanner was laid off by IGN. The future of the popular podcast is unknown at this time.
