Caught in Spider-Man’s Web: A Look at the Developers Responsible for Spidey’s Success

Web-slinging superhero Spider-Man is
certainly no stranger in the realm of video games, as Peter Parker’s alter-ego
has starred in at least thirty games, from nothing but a red block in his video
game debut on the Atari 2600, to the soon-to-be-released Spider-Man: Edge of Time. As expected, the early Spider-Man games were developed by a
variety of developers, such as Sega and Capcom, along with a multitude of
lesser-known developers.

Movie Rights to Dead Island Optioned by Lionsgate

The official trailer
for Dead
Island
seemed to set the internet alight, and bore very little
resemblance to any other video games trailer that I’ve yet seen; the mix of
emotional music and a heart-wrenching twist to the story along with the strange

lot people sit up and take notice.  At
the time of writing, the official trailer has 6,876,776 views on Youtube.

I Am Alive – Not Dead Yet

I Am Alive, Ubisoft’s post-apocalyptic survival game, seems to have survived its own personal doomsday situation.  Since its eerie and awe-inspiring debut trailer at E3 2008, the game has been delayed multiple times and has remained shrouded in mystery.

Forza 4’s Season Pass Detailed

Giving players the option to pay upfront for future DLC seems to
be the latest trend for publishers, as Gears of War 3’s Season Pass and Call of Duty Elite suggest. Now,
Microsoft is offering a Season Pass for Forza
Motorsport 4
. For $30, Forza fans
will have access to six add-on packs, planned for release in installments from
November 2011 to April 2012. Purchasing the Season Pass will cost 30 percent
less than buying each add-on separately. In total, the add-ons will add at
least 60 new vehicles to the game.
