The 2006 game Prey added a lot of twists to the First Person Shooter formula and got a good deal of critical praise for its clever story about a Native American man who is abducted by aliens and must fight for his freedom using a mixture of science and spirituality. With features like wall-walking and reverse gravity it had some unusual gameplay, introducing those features before they became better-known in the Dead Space series. The biggest cliché in video games is saving the Princess, but the second biggest is The Space Marine. We’re not gonna last seventeen hours” Hudson.

The sequel dubbed, Darksiders 2 is being produced by THQ and was set for a mid June release but news from studio today suggests we won’t be playing the game until August. Developers released the today in a blog post found on the original site here. Basically they make assurance that nothing will be cut and that the pushback is just to add, “polish” to the game. In Darksiders 2 you play as Death, War’s brother who is convinced of War’s innocence and heads to earth to bring him back. Darksiders 2 will be available on Xboxb 360, Ps3 and PC.
