New Dragon Age II DLC Revealed

Some fresh DLC for Bioware’s Dragon Age II entitled Mark of the Assassin features Felicia Day from the series The Guild and is set to hit the PC, PS3, and 360 on October 11th.  Day will be playing a new character called Tallis, an elven cutthroat seeking a powerful relic.  Day’s likeness has been used as the mold for her character as she and Hawke sneak into a magically fortified vault containing a gem called the Heart of the Many.

Razer Announces To-Be-Named Arcade Stick, Beta Testers Wanted

Razer, a peripheral manufacturer
located in California, revealed their latest arcade stick for the Xbox 360
during the Tokyo Game Show. While they have not named it yet, Razer did reveal
some mock-up images of the prototype. Pricing has not yet been announced.

More Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Details Revealed at the Tokyo Game Show

Frank O’Connor, the Halo franchise’s development director,
revealed some minor details regarding Halo:
Combat Evolved Anniversary’s
Kinect functionality. Players will be able to
switch between graphic modes, by saying either “Classic” or “Anniversary.”
O’Connor wouldn’t delve into too much detail about the other Kinect
functionality details, but was quick to note that it “is not core to the gameplay… but it is germane to the story and fiction
fans will probably really enjoy that feature.”
Expect more details to be
revealed in October.

Mortal Kombat Sells 3 Million Units

Mortal Kombat was released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 in the first quarter of the year but alreadyWarner Brothers Interactive is reaping the benefits. According to Warner Brothers, Mortal Kombat has sold over three million copies worldwide. This beats the record set by Capcom’s Marvel Vs Capcom 3, which sold two million units.

Battlefield 3 Gains 1.25 Million Preorders

While EA has said
that it doesn’t expect Battlefield 3 to
beat Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
in terms of sales, it will certainly be a close battle. EA CFO Eric Brown has
confirmed that Battlefield 3 has
received 1.25 million preorders so far. He also noted that these figures top Battlefield 3’s predecessor, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, by more than
ten times.

Max Payne 3 Launching in March, Says Rockstar

After being unofficially announced
back in 2004, Rockstar has confirmed that Max
Payne 3
will release in March of next year. The game was originally
intended to release back in 2009, but numerous delays had gamers classifying it
as the next Duke Nukem Forever. The
previous installment in the franchise, Max
Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne
, was released eight years ago.
