SSX Soundtrack Announced

The high-flying snowboarding game will be back on February 28th, and it comes packed with music, featuring 36 licensed tracks and 10 additional tracks laid down solely for the purpose of the game.  Some of the artists include Foster the People, Skrillex, and DJ Shadow, and the 10 originals come from the likes of The Qemists, Camo & Krooked, Raffertie, and Amon Tobin.

Kinect Star Wars Bundle and Release Date Announced

Kinect Star Wars and its associated bundle have been officially announced, and they’ll be hitting shelves on April 3rd.  The game alone will run you $49.99, while the bundle, which features a special edition Xbox 360, Kinect, controller, the game, and a unique C-3PO character, will cost $349.99.

The game has 5 modes including Jedi Destiny: Dark Side Rising, Podracing, Rancor Rampage, Duels of Fate, and the much anticipated Galactic Dance Off.

Halo 4 Details Likely on February 29

Dying for more Halo 4 details? Fans might not have that much longer to wait, as it appears that Microsoft will be showcasing the game at their Xbox 360 Spring Showcase event on Feb. 29 in San Francisco. A post on Twitter took a screenshot from the Finnish magazine Pelaaja showing Halo 4 to make an appearance at the event. The line reads “Halo 4 and other new products on display.” Halo 4 is still set for release this year, so more details about it should be appearing any day now. As always, Microsoft and 343 Industries have not commented.

Microsoft Attempts to Acquire Fake Halo 4 Beta Site

The publisher of the Halo series has filed a complaint to the National Arbitration Forum to acquire a fake beta site for their upcoming title Halo 4. This website, Halo4beta.net, has been flagged as fake from the beginning by 343 Industries David Ellis via his twitter account. In response to the flag, the domain has since been taken down by its owner and is currently suspended.

Microsoft To Ditch Microsoft Points

If the rumors are true, buying something on Xbox Live could get a lot simpler. According to Inside Mobile Apps, by the end of this year, Microsoft Points will be ditched and replaced with real money. Along with Xbox Live, the change would also apply to Windows Phone and Zune marketplaces. Any outstanding balances a user might have would be converted into real money.

More Xbox 720 Rumors Surface

According to anonymous sources speaking to Kotaku, the next Xbox will support Blu-ray discs, and Kinect 2 will be introduced. But perhaps the biggest, and scariest, bit of information from the sources is the Xbox 720 will block gamers from playing used games. How the next Xbox will block games was not shared, but Kotaku theorizes that a game could be linked to a specific Xbox Live account, although even that could easily be bypassed by playing offline.
