Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Makes Appearance on Developer’s Resume

As spotted by Joystiq, Hugo Beyer, who has worked for developers such as Terminal Reality and Liquid Development, let slip on his LinkedIn page (which has since been pulled by Beyer) that he is working on Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 under developer Nerve Software. Nerve Software worked on the first Call of Duty: Black Ops, making it seem likely that they will be working on the inevitable sequel.

Voice Actor for Fallout: New Vegas, passes away

Fans of Fallout: New Vegas will be upset to hear that David Anthony Pizzuto, who voiced Super Mutant ‘Lily Bowen’, has sadly passed away. Lily was a vibrant and vivid character, beautifully captured with David’s charismatic voice. His death will be another sad loss to Bethesda who also lost their concept artist, Adam Adamowicz, just last week.

Activision Comments On Dwindling MW3 Sales

Modern Warfare 3 has been lagging somewhat in sales over the last month or two, 50% of what CoD: Black Ops was doing about this time after its initial launch. Why is that? Is the simple fact that everyone who decided they wanted the game has finally got it and the market for the game is finally drying up? Apparently not, because it’s upsetting enough news to warrant Activision releasing a statement.

Tablet Controller for Xbox 720?

Following in the footsteps of Nintendo’s Wii U, Microsoft is reportedly developing a tablet controller for its next console, according to Xbox World Magazine. The tablet will look similar to the Playstation Vita, but smaller than the Wii U’s controller, the report says. Also, it is described as “an HD screen surrounded by the traditional 360 buttons and sticks.”

Concept Artist for Fallout 3 and Skyrim Dies

Adam Adamowicz, one of the main concept artists behind Fallout 3 and Skyrim, has died. Adam contributed heavily to the artwork for these and many other games for Bethesda. He has been described as “an anomaly in the game industry, a veritable one-man conceptual machine” by a fellow artist. The special thing about Adam was that he did a large majority of his work without digital assistance.

Get the Mass Effect 3 Demo a Day Early

For those Mass Effect fans who absolutely need the demo for the third installment before it releases Tuesday, a new Facebook app might make it a reality. The app challenges players to click four icons in a specific order. Fail to do so after three attempts, and you will be locked out from the app for two hours. Those who are successful will receive either a download code for the demo on Xbox Live, or a free Avatar item.

Mass Effect Coming to iPhone, Again

Hardcore Mass Effect fans might remember the stinging regret they felt three years ago if they played Mass Effect Galaxy which came out for iOS in 2009.  Critically-panned and quickly forgotten by fans, this was nothing more than a quickie tie-in game.  But that doesn’t seem to be the case for the new Mass EffectiOS game, Mass Effect Infiltrator which is due out soon.
