Warner Brothers have found their Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman is possibly the most famous female superhero and one of the most coveted roles around. She is set to make her big screen debut in the
Man of Steel sequel
Batman vs. Superman. Now Warner Brothers and Zack Snyder have found their Wonder Woman: Gal Gadot.
Gadot is a best known for her role as Gisele Harabo in the last
Fast and Furious movies, a woman who commanded sexuality and a tough persona. She has also appeared in
Knight and Day,
Date Night, the Israeli TV series
Asfur, and an episode of
Entourage. She represented Israel in the 2004 Miss Universe Contest.
French actress Elodie Yung and
Quantum of Solace's Oleg Kurylenko also tested for the role and
Thor's Jaimie Alexander was lobbying hard for the role. It's clear from that list, that Warner Brothers were looking for a non-American actress with a unique look, beauty and action credentials and Gadot fits that bill.
Batman vs. Superman is set to be released on July 17, 2015.
