Metro 2033 Review

Metro 2033 is like STALKER’s cousin, the hot one yes… yet far from perfect. It is an atmospheric adventure through the dark tomes of the Russian public as they descend into a world of madness caused by the nuclear holocaust on the surface above. This atmospheric thrill ride is extremely intriguing while it lasts, but there are a few glaring technical problems, story elements and odd engine errors that hamper the experience. This game isn’t crippled at all by the bugs, but the game experience of this STALKER-esque game can be ruined as the thin white line between the graphical prowess of 4A-games and underdeveloped gameplay are all a blur when you go into this game blind of what the happening of it all is. A heavy weight on systems who want to run this game on high settings, and a descent action game for those who seek to shoot though the cramped corridors of the Russian underground, this game really comes down to what you really are down for in a game… choose one way, story… graphics… or action.

Iron Man 2: Rustproof Doesn’t Mean Bustproof

I really thought that Iron Man 2 was a solid movie, so I was hopeful that the game wouldn’t be a total screw up.

What I’ve noticed from many recent games based on movies is that they try to extend the story portrayed in the movie, either as events leading up to the movie, or events immediately following the movie. Two recent examples of this that come to mind were Terminator: Salvation and GI Joe. Iron Man 2‘s video game, a third-person shooter/action/adventure title developed by Sega, falls into the “after the movie” concept.

The game opens up with Tony’s archives building being attacked by robot drones. Immediately Tony and Rhodey scramble to the scene and try to quell the chaos with repulsor beams and mini-guns blazin’. For the most part they are successful, but after checking all his files, Tony finds that part of his original program for JARVIS, his electronic butler and suit A.I. program, has been stolen. Knowing what could happen if that A.I. fell into the wrong hands, Tony and Rhodey start following a trail of breadcrumbs to find the culprits.

Buy Civilization IV Right Now On Steam

Steam’s known for its ridiculous weekend and mid-week sales, and once again, I’ve succumbed to their tactics of making things not cost a lot of money. That makes… 151 games on my Steam account. Man, I haven’t even installed over half of these.

inFamous 2 Website?

With E3 rapidly approaching, it seems Sony is gearing for an announcement fro inFamous 2 at their press conference. SCEA has purchased the domain name infamous2thegame.com. It isn’t up yet, but the name itself tells quite a lot. This could just be Sony preparing for anything, but it’s most likely the sign of a sequel. Given the success of the first game, inFamous 2 could possibly be Sony’s next system seller.

Supreme Commander 2 Review

Remember the first Supreme Commander? Remember how big and massive the game used to be—gargantuan battles that made a difference, air fights with fleets the size of Washington to Chicago, and maps that dwarfed any strategy game to date?
