The next installment of the Castlevania series, the highly anticipated Lords of Shadow , will receive a limited edition priced at $79.99. The extra cash will secure you the game’s soundtrack of roughly twenty tracks and an art book with thirty to forty pages worth of art. Buyers will also receive gorgeous new box art from artist Ayami Kojima. This will be the first time that a Castlevania game has been given a limited edition in North America.

Yesterday, on the fitting Friday the thirteenth, Treyarch’s community manager Josh Olin confirmed via twitter that the Hardened and Prestige editions of Black Ops will include all four of the previous Nazi Zombie maps from Call of Duty: World at War. It hasn’t been confirmed whether or not standard edition buyers will be able to download these maps via paid DLC.
The original Mafia, released on the PC in 2002, won high praise in the industry as a well-crafted, story-driven action adventure reminiscent of the “Godfather” films and “Goodfellas”. After eight long years, Mafia 2 hopes to capture the same success as the original. In the Mafia 2 demo, you play as Vito Scaletta, a WWII vet that returns home to continue the family business.
Hello fellow gamers and welcome to another week of Gaming from Across the Pond. I did something this week which is borderline serious geek zone. As gamers, and especially us PC gamers, we have to accept to some degree we are all a bit geeky. Ever played and MMO? Then you’re a bit of a geek. Ever used hotkeys during a game? Yep still a geek. Get ridiculously excited from trailers that show no ACTUAL footage of the game? Geek. Now this isn’t a bad thing, we all enjoy our hobby and if that makes us geeks then I’ll put my hands up. Yea I drank an inhuman amount of coffee to stay awake to see the announcement of StarCraft II in South Korea, but I loved it so it doesn’t matter. That said being a geek is like any good game, it has levels.
Tim Schafer and his team at Double Fine have announced a new downloadable title that will reach PlayStation Network and Xbox Live this fall. The project is called Costume Quest, an RPG Adventure title set during Halloween where a group of friends set off to complete quests and collect various items like cards and candy, as well as additional costume parts.

Surprisingly, I’m going to be playing more Bully this weekend. But for more on that, check out my Respawn article. Apart from Bully, I’ve got Madden. And Madden. That’s about it. I may throw in a few hours of Civilization IV but I’m not sure yet. Mainly ready to dig further into Madden’s Franchise mode.
