Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes Preview

Sengoku Basara may not sound familiar to those living in the U.S.A., but the gaming franchise has thrived in Japan spawning several sequels on the PS2, PSP and Wii consoles and even received a 2-D fighting game adaptation. The game series also developed into an insanely popular anime that is wrapping up its second season. Americans may need to dive back into 2005 and search for a game called Devil Kings; this was the first installment of the Sengoku Basara series as well as the last title released outside of Japan. Today, fans can check out Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes, Capcom’s latest answer to the Samurai Warrior’s genre of hack n’ slash and large-scale warfare.

Cabela’s North American Adventures Review

Cabela’s North American Adventures is a hunting game… nothing more I can say about it—it’s a hunting game where you take pretty pictures of pretty animals whilst they loath and squander about the landscape… your rifle ready and willing to put a bullet through its head before it has a clue of what to say about you. This game isn’t great… it isn’t terribly tense; if you did buy this game, you either did it for two reasons… one, achievement whoring (yeah, I know what you did there…) or you really wanted to take pretty pictures of animals. This series doesn’t make anything really fun when it comes to hunting, and while this game was a weird revival, it still has a couple tricks up its sleeve to make it somewhat a bearable experience…

Armageddon Blows Its Way Out of Crowded March

THQ has revealed their tentative release dates for its upcoming games. In addition to announcing Saints Row 3 and the fact that future UFC: Undisputed titles will not be released on a yearly basis for quality reasons, high profile game Red Faction: Armageddon will be pushed back from a March 2011 release to a May 2011 release. So why the two-month roll back?
