Costume Quest is Given a Price and Release Date

The studio Double Fine have set the date and price for its unusual adventure game Costume Quest. Now set for an October 20 release for both Xbox Live and PSN, it will cost 1200 Microsoft Points, or $15 for the PS3 version in the US.

PSN and Store Releases for 10/5/10

A busy week this week, with some interesting games and add-on appearing on PSN. Enslaved and Castlevania are both worthy store releases, along with NBA 2K11. 
Alien Breed: Impact, and Deadliest Warrior: The Game are the two main releases on the Playstation Network. And there are also two more Japanese Playstation 1 classics added this week for those of you who enjoy a bit of an old skool challenge.

Want Access to the Duke Nukem Forever Demo?

Well there might be a few of you left out there that still don’t believe that Duke Nukem Forever is actually coming out. Playable demos at PAX this year proved that there was at least some form of the game floating out there somewhere.

Front Mission Evolved Review

Producer Square-Enix’s Front Mission is a long running turn-based strategy game in which giant bipedal robots are the primary tools of militaries the world over. Known as Wanzers, these combat mechs are powerful and versatile in many combat situations. A product of Double Helix Games, Front Mission Evolved continues the story that is left off in Front Mission 5: Scars of the War, but changes the focus and gameplay style from strategy to an over-the-shoulder third-person shooter, similar to Armored Core. However, as in each incarnation, Front Mission has had a large and involving plot with anime-inspired cutscenes and characters.

Pachter Predicts Price Cuts in 2011

I love Michael Pachter. He’s entertaining, funny, and exactly what this business needs. On top of all that, he’s almost always correct with his predictions, no matter how crazy they can be. Mr. Pach Man’s latest predicition is a little less bold than some of his others but still an interesting one. He says: “We estimate that a $50 console price cut across the board will impact software sales by a positive 5%, and we expect Microsoft to lead with a cut some time in Spring 2011.”
