Enslaved: Odyssey to the West Review

There are many tough things that game developers do right that we take for granted. The story, the characters, the way the characters interact, the gameplay, etc. are all important things. Very rarely does a game actually achieve all of those things, I haven’t found a game that does since Metal Gear Solid 4. Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is a fine example of a game that gets so incredibly close to being an amazing game but falls short by just an inch or so.

You would think the over-the-top antics of comic book superheroes and stat-driven RPG gameplay would be an awkward mash-up, yet X-Men Legends and its successors, the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games, managed to make that series work for the better part of a decade.

Dead Rising 2 Review

Dead Rising was a very interesting game when it came out. It utilized the power of the Xbox 360 ‘s limits by putting hundreds of zombies on one screen, and offered tons of “unique” usable items. It also had a wacky side that was very refreshing. However that was then, and this is now. With Dead Rising 2 being made by a different developer does this sequel have what it takes to match the excellence of the first, or is this another Crackdown 2?

Military STILL Not Letting Down on Medal of Honor

As some might have heard EA was pressured into removing the option to play as the Taliban in the multiplayer section of the game. This was done on arguments that it would be disrespectful to those who are in, and to the memories of those that have died in the war. A reasonable argument to make since it is a current even, and there are many people out there that might have some relation to someone who has been killed. However even after this the military has not backed off. Even after changing Taliban into “Opposing Force” they have not stepped down. They are continuing to boycott the game, and are still  holding on to their claim that they are doing this out of “respect to those touched by the ongoing, real-life events presented as a game.”
