Super Meat Boy Review

The whole “Your princess is in another castle” stigma is hardly revolutionary. Yet after all these years it still perfectly fits as a way to propel our hero from level to level. It’s simple, but it’s perfect. At it’s core, Super Meat Boy has a pretty simple premise. Meat Boy must make his way through various traps and dangers in order to save his girlfriend Bandage Girl. The evil Dr Fetus has stolen her away and it’s up to Meat Boy to save the day. It’s nothing new, but it works.

New Vegas: Obsidian’s Jackpot?

Fallout: New Vegas might just be the most important game ever for developer Obsidian Entertainment. It’s certainly going to be one of their most high-profile games, but New Vegas is also their best opportunity in years for their talents to shine through.

If you’re reading this than you’re probably already familiar with Obsidian’s origins, how it’s comprised of members of Black Isle Studios, the guys who made the first two Fallout games and a couple other really great PC RPGs in the late 90s and early 2000s. If you don’t know that story, feel free to check out my feature last week on the origins of the Fallout franchise here. I see this article as a companion piece to that, building off so

Yes, the Kinect apparently had a bit of trouble knowing the difference between you and the couch if you were sitting on it. However the software has been changed so that the base node used for determining your size/shape can now separate you from your couch.

Medal of Honor Review

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a Medal of Honor game, but EA has rebuilt the series into the more popular modern shooter genre. However is there room for a new modern day shooter? Medal of Honor is EA’s reboot of the series, but this time it’s a modern day shooter taking place at the onset of the invasion of Afghanistan. In fact the opening credits is filled with audio from reports made on 9/11.  Also I’m not sure what it is about this game, but from the get go it takes Call of Duty’s style of having them talk over an ever changing map. If you have no idea what I mean, play Modern Warfare 2 (I’m sure if you’re reading this you have). This is one of the first things the game obviously is trying to emulate from the Modern Warfare games.
