Halloween Sales- Wednesday

All of the online game stores are gearing up for Halloween with new sales every day this week.  Today Direct2Drive.com is holding a sale on the indie Horror series Penumbra.  You can buy the Penumbra Collection for $5.95, which contains all three games in the franchise.  D2D is calling it 75% off the normal $19.95 price, but we’ll forgive their poor math skills because this is such a good price on an unusual set of games.

Playstation Rewards Program Coming Soon

Sony issued a press release informing Playstation owners of a new incentive program. Playstation Rewards is a free service that gamers can register for. The service collects player data such as new games played, downloads made, purchases on PSstore, Home interaction and a plethora of other actions made in the Playstation “ecosystem.”

PSP GO Price Drop

Sony has just released a new price for its polarizing handheld, the PSP Go. Originally released for $249.99, the device will now retail for $199.99. The PSP Go has a smaller screen than the original PSP and lacks a UMD player which makes your collection of UMD games obsolete.

HD Remake of No More Heroes Coming to PS3

A HD remake of No More Heroes is officially coming to the PlayStation 3 next year. No More Heroes is an action game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture that originally came out for Wii in 2008. The remake will be called Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise and will be exclusive to the PlayStation 3, and only available in North America. It has already been released on both PS3 and Xbox 360 in Japan, but the Xbox version is not set for release in North America. There is no word yet on whether it will ever arrive in Europe
