Microsoft Sells Ten Million Kinect Units

Microsoft announced today that they have sold over 10 million Kinect sensors worldwide.  The sales remained steady through to this year.  They saw very little dip in sales since the release of the Kinect.  This has also pushed Kinect game sales over 10 million.  Which is a big number but I wonder if they are counting all of the Kinect Adventures that comes with every Kinect?

Not only have they sold 10 million units but they also got themselves a new Guinness World Record.  The Kinect is the fastest selling consumer electronic device to date.  The device sold an average of 133,333 Kinect sensors per day for 60 days in a row.  For a total of eight million sold between the days of November 4, 2010 to January 3, 2011.  That is an amazing achievement for Microsoft.
