Consoles Get Free Alice Game With Madness Returns

XBox and PS3 owners who buy a new copy of the upcoming goth girl action game Alice Madness Returns will get a download code for a free copy of American McGee’s Alice, the first game in the series.  Unfortunately, PC gamers aren’t so lucky, even though Alice originated on our platform.  The nice fellows at EA’s marketing department had better rectify this situation quickly, or there will only be one solution: Off with their heads!

RAGE Preview

At first glance, id Software’s RAGE appears to follow in the
visual style of Borderlands, with a
post-apocalyptic setting ravaged by raiders and small hamlets barricaded with
corrugated metal and junk. However, where Borderlands fell short in
terms of depth, it quickly becomes clear that RAGE has much more in
mind. Visually on par with any contemporary title and free of stylistic conceits, RAGE
comes across as a gritty and dark shooter set in a fictional earth dotted with
ruins; the land’s many denizens having developed a variety of factions to replace
those destroyed in the cataclysm.

New Releases for PS3 This Week (4.18.11)

After a few quiet weeks for
new games and content on the PS3, the great selection of games out this week
should be enough to keep almost every gamer happy. First, there are three new games
coming out on Blu-ray in stores: SOCOM 4,
Mortal Kombat, and the brilliant Portal 2.

MGS: Rising Details Leaked?

It may seem like a lifetime since we heard about anything
new in regards to Kojima Productions Metal
Gear Solid: Rising
. But, despite remaining to be nothing more but a rumour,
an individual on the Gamespot forum, who claims to be a professional writer,
was speaking of “snippets” of the hugely anticipated upcoming prequel of the
MGS series, running off his PC.

Under the alias of “Kolokovitchk”, delivered a thorough
article on what is presented in the game, and a list of technical features that
the game will use.

Dog has announced that the multiplayer beta for
Uncharted

will begin on June 28 and
has released a massive amount of new details on the game. Along with
a bunch of new screens to drool over, a new video has also surfaced

Geohot Donates $10,000 to Electronic Frontier Foundation

George “Geohot” Hotz, infamous for hacking the
Playstation 3 system earlier this year, which led to a controversial lawsuit by
Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA), has donated $10,000 to the
Electronic Frontier Foundation. This comes after the foundation supported Hotz
in his defense against Sony

The news came after Hotz posted a screenshot of the
generous PayPal donation on his blog;
