3DS Lineup Announced at E3

It was a big surprise to see the 3DS launch without the obligatory Nintendo lineup of revamped classics.  No Mario Kart 3D?  No Super Mario Brothers 3D?  No Link, Zelda, Pikachu, or Metroid?  Inconceivable!  But don’t worry, just as you’re getting bored of Super Street Fighter IV, Nintendo has announced the inevitable titles you’ve been waiting for.

E3 Gameplay analysis for Ninja Gaiden 3

As I said before, I love me some Ninja Gaiden. So I was really looking forward to seeing some real gameplay at this year’s E3. My wish came true and that’s exactly what I got.  While not perfect, I was certainly pleasantly surprised by what I saw for the most part. I’m just going to break this down simply, the good and the bad from an avid Ninja Gaiden player.

Kingdoms of Alamur: Reckoning is one of my most anticipated games of this year’s E3. The CEO of 38 Studios, Kurt Schilling came on stage and  and showed off a new gameplay trailer at the EA press conference.  For those who haven’t heard of 38 Studios and Reckoning before, It’s a fantasy action RPG where the story has been written by bestselling fantasy author R.A. Salvatore, while the art style has been developed by Todd McFarlane and the game has been designed by the lead designer of Oblivion and Morrowind.

Capcom’s Epic Fantasy: Dragons Dogma

Dragons
Dogma is a brand new title set to be released by Capcom. This third
person fantasy action RPG boasts some impressive visuals. It also comes
from the team that produced Devil May Cry 4 as well as Resident Evil 4, so
it is set to be a competent action game at the very least. Capcom
claims Dragons Dogma will take place in an extremely vibrant and large
open world. Through this world the player will be accompanied by a
party of three. The party will fight independently of the player and
will learn and adapt their own abilities based and what strategies
the player decides to implement. With gameplay that looks solid and
encounters suitably epic to the fantasy genre , Dragons Dogma seems
to be one to look forward to.
