Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad Dated

Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad, the surprisingly awesome World War 2 shooter from Tripwire Interactive, has been dated and given a retail price for their North American release. It has been in development for quite some time now, with preview builds being shown at multiple trade shows over the past two years. Tripwire is obviously very proud of the progress they have made, with a new first-person cover system, an enormous layer of realism, down to the way that the soldiers hold their guns while sprinting, and a host of other gameplay features and adjustments to progress the franchise into next generation territory. Many gamers were concerned with its status as a World War 2 shooter, but Red Orchestra’s general focus on the Russian/German front rather than the typical British or American fronts tends to set it apart from the rest. Its team-based class warfare gameplay also tends to stick out, giving it a unique gameplay style.

The Wii U won’t be significantly more powerful than current consoles.

In a recent interview Miyamoto gives an impression of the
technical capability of the Wii U console. While Nintendo have never been one
for going hardcore into specs, information on this was certainly due, even
though we still don’t know anything really specific. Speaking with Gamespot,
Shigeru Miyamoto talked about a lot of things and Nintendo’s thought process, when
asked about the importance of hardware power he had the following to say…

‘Rise of Nightmares’ Coming Exclusively for Kinect

Sega intends to publish Kinect’s first M-rated game with the
upcoming Rise of Nightmares. Players will fill the boots of an
American tourist
whose wife has been capture by a crazy scientist who has a thing for
resurrecting
the dead like all respectable scientists. The game will be played from a
first-person perspective and the emphasis will be on melee combat
rather than
traditional firearms (just think of House of the Dead meets Condemned and you’re
pretty much there). The game will take place in mansion-esqué environment and you’ll be
fighting zombies and other types of monsters (sounds a little familiar doesn’t it)
that you can dismember to your heart’s content.

Dungeon Siege 3 PS3 Review

Dungeon Siege 3 is the latest release in the Dungeon Siege Franchise and it marks the first time the series has ever made an appearance on consoles. It follows the story of the 10th Legionnaires as they seek to rebuild after the fallout of a civil war with the tyrant Jeyne Kessynder. Unfortunately, the story is largely uninteresting and dull. The game never does a good job of making you really want to get revenge on Jeyne. For the most part, it feels like a series of abstract events that reach a conclusion and very loosely gives you a purpose to move forward. The specific story elements and reasoning behind why you are doing what you are doing are not explained very well. It all feels rushed as area after area passes by with no real story development of any kind; just constant reminders that you must stop Jeyne Kessynder, a villain that is impossible to be opinionated on, as she is seldom encountered over the course of almost the entire game.

Team Fortress 2 to get an Uber Update

TF2 is an anomaly in the online gaming world. It came bundled with The Orange Box in 2007 and while other online shooters charge players money for additional maps and content, Valve have given owners of TF2 dozens of new maps, weapons and content at no additional cost. The game’s last update gave support for replays and challenged gamers to put together the best machinima they could to win a Saxxy Award.
