Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica HD Dated

A while ago Capcom announced high definition remakes of both Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica,
but neither the release dates nor prices were announced for them. Now
Capcom has announced the former for both titles in the United States. We
already know that both Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica will
be released in Japan on September 8th as part of a 15th Anniversary
bundle, but they have just announced the American release dates at
Comic-Con.

Another week of the summer doldrums. We’re really in the dog days now,
as there’s only a single game new to brick and motor shops today. At
least it’s an intriguing one. Still, now’s definitely the period to go

Epic Hints at a New Unreal Game

President of Epic Games Mike Capps has hinted that a new Unreal game may be on the way. “We have a couple other major franchises that we’ve not been paying attention to. It’s been a long time since we shipped an Unreal game,
and it’s an awfully loved franchise that we hold pretty dear here. We
haven’t been giving it the attention it deserves because we’ve been
focusing on Gears of War and we’re still a relatively small company.”

Assassin’s Creed: Embers Announced


The Assassin’s Creed universe
already spans games, books and live action shorts, but Ubisoft has
announced they will be continuing this trend by further expanding it
with Assassin’s Creed: Embers. Assassin’s Creed: Embers
is an animated short film announced by Ubisoft at Comic-Con and
continues the story of Ezio Auditore. It’s being told as an epilogue to
the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and the trailer
shows Ezio significantly older than when we last saw him and it shows
him on the run from an unknown enemy. Check out the trailer below:

Atom Zombie Smasher – Review

Atom Zombie Smasher is a funny, clever indie game that combines a pinch of tower defense with a dash real-time strategy, and throws in a little RISK as well, for an addictive experience. Players control an orbiting defense platform that monitors and commands ground forces during a zombie outbreak.  While you won’t engage the enemy directly, you’ll deploy troops, set traps, and coordinate rescue vehicles all while plotting out a large-scale strategy from the safety of your satellite base.
