Games’ upcoming NHL ‘12 skating out
onto the ice. The NHL series has so far
claimed twenty-two awards for ‘Best Sports Game of the Year’, so it’s fair to
say that NHL ’12 has a pretty big
legacy to live up to.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has received a great amount of praise after Bethesda showed that impressive demo back at E3, and many people have most likely pre-ordered it already. However, the hardcore fans may want to hold off on pre-ordering the normal game, as Bethesda has just announced a Collector’s Edition for Skyrim.
It’s bad news for gamers looking forward to the upcoming turn based RPG strategy game Might and Magic: Heroes VI as it’s just been delayed again, this time to the 13th of October. The delay comes as a bit of a suprise as it was already delayed earlier this year, originally slated for release in June of this year but got pushed back to the 8th of September.
Some new details regarding the sequel to everyone’s favorite lootfest have been revealed. The folks at Gearbox Software and 2K Games are teaming up once again to expand upon 2009’s unique take on the action RPG formula.
Fans of both Minecraft and its creator, Markus “Notch” Persson, probably know about his developer company, Mojang, and its next project entitled Scrolls. Apparently, so does Bethesda, because their lawyers are suing Mojang for copyright infringement of The Elder Scrolls’ trademark.
Is there a new IP in the works at Epic Games? A post on the career page of Epic’s website reads “Epic Games is looking for Gameplay Programmers to join the team currently working on Gears of War 3, as well as a new unannounced IP in development.” Info is sparse for the new IP, images of artwork are, for now, out of the public view.
For almost six years now, fans have been waiting for the next new
Elder Scrolls game, scheduled to release this November on PC and both HD
consoles. It’s the kind of prolonged wait that can exaggerate the
amazement of a beloved series in your mind, and make you want to express
your love by doing something crazy, like paying way more than you have
to to get your hands on the game. Publishers have been supporting
this impulse for years with various special editions of their biggest
games, and Bethesda’s Skyrim is no exception, as their gigantic
Collector’s Edition version of the game has been priced at $149.99 and
contains a few big extras.
