Codemasters has just announced a new title in their Fomula 1 racing series. This one’s different, though. Like many other games being developed today, the new F1 game will be online and free-to-play, titled “F1 Online: The Game“.

Counter-Strike title from Valve. Why does this matter?
Counter-Strike really put competitive multiplayer shooters on the map
back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s as it turned into a global
phenomenon. Although it was just a Half-Life mod like Team Fortress it became insanely popular. Version 1.6 is still played
today.

those thirty years, the PC has been at the forefront of technology with
bleeding-edge graphics and utility. It has had an immense influence on
new technologies, economics and has helped shape the world we know.

the PC. Today Mark Dean, who worked on that team, is claiming the PC is
dead.

can too. On September 16 through 18, 2011, Modern Warfare 3 will be available at the video game festival in the United Kingdom. Isn’t it exciting just reading those words?
The
Xbox Live Rewards Program may have erronously sent thousands of free Microsoft
Points to customers last night. A glitch in the system generated free points. Some gamers indulged and took advantage of the mishap and ransacked through the Xbox Live Marketplace. Some customers notified Microsoft of the issue.
Activision announced today that Call of Duty: Black Ops
will receive a fourth installment downloadable content pack called
“Rezurrection” which is slated for release this year. “Rezurrection” is
reported to come out August 23rd for the Xbox 360. No release date yet
for the PlayStation 3 and PC versions of the DLC but expect the DLC to
release one month after.
Assassin’s Creed Revelations will be out in November and the
upcoming multiplayer beta begins exclusively on PSN on September 3rd. Come the 11th, however, and the beta will also be available on Xbox Live, but that still gives PS3
owners a good solid week head start to see what Ubisoft is doing with the
multiplayer portion of the next entry in their iconic hooded stab-fest
franchise. To get access to the beta on PSN you simply need to be a
subscriber of Plus or have an Ubisoft Uplay account. Uplay is free so I
imagine most people will go with that.
