Max Payne 3 Coming March 2012

While not giving a specific date, Rockstar has stated that Max Payne 3 – the long delayed sequel to the popular 2003 bullet-time shooter will be released sometime in March 2012.

So far, the multiplayer will
be included and the original game will be available for mobile devices
with improved controls, textures and a general HD upgrade. It will be
interesting to see what it
looks and plays like. I’d love to play a cover shooter as a character
who isn’t just another generic-looking soldier type. If the gameplay is
solid in the new game, I might
just have to pick it up.

From Dust is Coming to PSN

From Dust, winner of Game Critic’s Awards Best Strategy Game of E3, is
coming to PlayStation Network on September 27.  In From Dust, players
are given the power of The Breath, described as a mysterious power used
by primitive tribes to battle against the forces of nature.  The game
allows players to take advantage of the elements in the environment to
complete objectives and make areas of the level accessible to their
tribe.  For example: players can collect lava out of the crater of a
volcano to construct a mountain or wall.  Other level elements like sand
and water can be collected and deposited where the user sees fit.

Pirates of the Black Cove Review

Pirates of the Black Cove can be described as an adventure real time strategy RPG. But it’s much easier to see it as a modern remake of Sid Meier’s Pirates. For those who haven’t heard of it, Sid Meier’s Pirates and its 2005 remake were pirate simulators that combined numerous gameplay elements and featured ship-to-ship combat, sword fighting, a vast sea to sail and governors’ daughters to woo. Despite the fun fusion of style’s there really haven’t been any other games that have capture the life of a pirate quite so well(Sans maybePirates of the Burning Sea), so it’ll be interesting to see if Pirates of the Black Cove can compete with the PC gaming classic.
