PC System Specs for Battlefield 3 Released

EA has detailed the minimum and recommended system specs for Battlefield 3, and it isn’t looking good for gamers who haven’t upgraded their rig in a few years.  While you can run the game on lower settings using an older machine, the minimum specs require at least Vista as your operating system, and it is recommended that you use Windows 7, along with a quad core processor, four gigs of RAM and a full gig of VRAM.

Forza 4’s Season Pass Detailed

Giving players the option to pay upfront for future DLC seems to
be the latest trend for publishers, as Gears of War 3’s Season Pass and Call of Duty Elite suggest. Now,
Microsoft is offering a Season Pass for Forza
Motorsport 4
. For $30, Forza fans
will have access to six add-on packs, planned for release in installments from
November 2011 to April 2012. Purchasing the Season Pass will cost 30 percent
less than buying each add-on separately. In total, the add-ons will add at
least 60 new vehicles to the game.

“Handful” of Xbox Live Users Banned Accidentally

If you’ve been banned from Xbox Live
recently for seemingly no reason, you are not alone. Stephen Toulouse, head of
Xbox Live’s Policy and Enforcement team, announced via Major Nelson’s blog that a “handful” of
Live users were banned inaccurately for modded consoles. “After an initial investigation we have confirmed that a handful of
banned consoles did in-fact appear to not have been modified or tampered with,”
Toulouse wrote, noting that the bans occurred between August 29 and
September 9.

Uncharted: What Does it Mean to the PS3?

A lot, actually.  If you asked me which exclusive PlayStation 3 title is the most important, I would tell you it is Uncharted, by an astronomical unit.  Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune dropped onto the PS3 as Sony’s answer to Gears of War.  Where Naughty Dog arguably wasn’t able to match the standard set in Gears’ gunplay, they succeeded in developing an amazing action-adventure universe.  Naughty Dog was able to capture those classic adventure genre set pieces, create compelling characters and then weave them into a story with amazing cinematic presentation.

Gears of War 3 – Review

Every so often a franchise comes around that transforms the industry permanently.  All other games of a similar genre released afterward seek to emulate said franchise and inevitably are compared to it, either favorably or unfavorably.  These past five years have seen the meteoric rise of one of these treasures.  Since its release in 2006, Gears of War has had a profound impact on gamers across the globe, and the third installment in this magnificent trilogy is about as close to perfection as this medium allows.  While the first two games in the series were fantastic, they lacked a noticeable component that prevented both of them from achieving an even higher degree of acclaim.  Gears of War 3 has that component, emotion, which allows it to ascend from a video game to art that evokes the gamut of what makes us human.

Homefront  2 is in the hands of Crytek, Arkham City will be delayed for PC and there could maybe, just maybe be a rumour about a new Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Wii U. Sony has also given some details on their upcoming HMZ-T1 headset, which looks all slick and everything, but it is something anyone really wants?
