Tear off your own head in NeverDead… Wait, what?

You had better prepare yourself for ample amounts of crazy before you play NeverDead, the latest IP developed by Rebellion studios and published by Konami appears to be equal parts Devil May Cry and Shadows of the Damned. Now if that doesn’t get you interested to play the game I honestly have no idea what will. Players take on the roll of Bryce, an immortal demon hunter that is on a quest for vengeance and is hell bent on killing the lord of the underworld (sounds familiar eh?). Five hundred years ago, Bryce challenged the aforementioned king of demons and got his wife murdered in the process. As punishment, he was cursed with immortality. The story seems like your usual “guy gets pissed off, guy gets revenge” plot, but for the type of game this appears to be, it’s pretty much what you would expect.

Killzone 1 Coming to PSN

Despite what many may call a lackluster ending to the third iteration, the Killzone series has always been one of the bigger exclusive trilogies for Sony.  With no real solid news on any release of Killzone 4, Guerilla Games (one of the main developers behind the franchise), has decided to put the original Killzone on the PlayStation Network, with the very reasonable price point of $9.99.  Seeing as this is a full length, roughly 8-10 hour game, a price point of $9.99 is quite reasonable.  There has been no further news as to whether or not it will be released in an HD format, but the release date has been set as January 24th.

I’m not 100% sure if this release of Killzone is part of the Only On PSN promotion where Sony has been releasing exclusive PSN games and classic PS2 games, but the price is such as to where I would not be surprised if it sold quite a bit of copies, not only to those who are just looking to complete their collection and do not have a backwards compatible PS3, but also to those who are just looking to play a competent PS2 shooter that has extremely beautiful sequels, both graphically and gameplay wise.

Why you won’t see the PS4 or the next Xbox in 2012

I’m sure most, if not all of you that are reading this have seen one of the many, many stories that have been popping up over the last few months that say something to the effect of “2012 is the year that new consoles will be released”, now if they’re talking about the Wii U and Vita then they would be correct. But of course they’re not, they are in fact referring to the successors to the Xbox360 and Playstation 3. Now, I’m not saying that I have a crystal ball that has shown me the future, I’m just going to put forward the reasons why you probably won’t be purchasing a new console from Microsoft or Sony in the next 12 months, unless it’s a Vita.

Medal of Honor 2 and Need for Speed 13 are coming in 2012, possibly. U.K. retailer GAME slipped the details of an EA private meeting through Twitter. Final Fantasy XIII-2: Hands On Preview

The Final Fantasy brand has been suffering of late and it has seemed for a while that no amount of phoenix downs could save it.  Final Fantasy XII was critiqued for deviating too far from the series’ roots, Final Fantasy XIII was criticized for its nearly nonsensical storyline and extreme linearity, andFinal Fantasy XIV was so colossally bad that Square-Enix just started charging its customers the proposed monthly fee to play for a game that was released well over a year ago.
