Rift: Infernal Dawn Teaser Trailer

Trion’s Rift will soon be releasing update 1.8. Included in this update will be quite a bit of new content, including a new 20 man raid where you can battle colossal foes inside a volcano. What Will RetakeMe3 Do At PAX?

The organization dedicated to bringing a cathartic and comprehensive ending to Mass Effect 3 is back at the drawing board thinking of new ways to do a little bit of good and make their message heard at PAX. RetakeMe3, which is close to 60 thousand members strong, has from the start advocated for contributions to many charitable organizations. The charity Child’s Play benefited the most from gamers’ generosity, gaining a total of 80 thousand dollars in the few short weeks since the group’s inception. Today I sat down with Eric again to go over what’s in the future for RetakeME3′s charity work and what can we expect from the group during PAX.

Video games have often been admonished for not having enough diversity; civil-rights activists have correctly noted that their protagonists tend to be caucasian heterosexual men.  In recent years, developers have begun to correct this, offering minority protagonists, along with the option to choose your character’s sex, or have homosexual romantic subplots. Unfortunately, there is one minority group that has been consistently ignored or abused by the gaming industry; the Transgender.  Yet, there have been more transgender characters than one might think, dating back decades.
