Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Developer in Trouble

Despite the success of 38 Studio’s Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, the developer looks to be deep in a financial hole. According to a report by a Rhode Island NBC affiliate, the Rhode Island government offered 38 Studios a $75 million loan to relocate from Massachusetts to Rhode Island, which they accepted. However, now the government is in talks with the developer about its future.

Will Licensed Video Games Ever Be Decent Again?

  It’s a rare occurrence that video games based on licenses are ever decent, yet store shelves are full of them. The vast majority of titles boast shoddy gameplay mechanics, disgusting visuals, and are about as much fun to play as setting your own face on fire. 500 Far Cry 3 Beta Invites To Come

Far Cry 3s multiplayer was unveiled a couple months ago, but now they are asking for players to test out their latest offerings. On consoles only, Ubisoft has announced that they will be giving 500 players keys to participate in the closed beta of their upcoming island FPS in order to try out these additions to the game. Multiplayer in Far Cry 3 will consist of six classes and up to 16 players competing in both team and free-for-all variants of play. The two modes revealed thus far—Domination and Firestormare a little bit of the old and a little something new.
