Nurse Jackie – Forget It Review: Drama and a Dramatic Return

Kevin interrupts Jackie’s date with Frank. Jackie has trouble controlling Grace as her daughter continues to lie and see her boyfriend behind her mother’s back. In a touching closing scene, we see Jackie finally make a sincere confession and apology to Kevin regarding her behavior towards him and the girls.

As a whole the episode is an excellent hour of television, but the storylines that focus on the office drama prove to be more effective and interesting than Don and Roger’s jaunt to Beverly Hills.

The Killing – The Jungle/That You Fear Most Review: Light on Plot, Heavy on Characterization

On the two-hour season 3 premiere of The Killing, “The Jungle/That You Fear Most,” we find Linden drawn back into police work when former partner Holder is assigned the case of a murdered prostitute whose death strongly parallels one of Linden’s old cases. A group of homeless teenagers have ties to the dead girl, and one of their members may be the killer’s next victim. A death row inmate may be facing execution for a crime he didn’t commit.

Hannibal – Buffet Froid Review: Strong Acting Saves a Slightly Predictable Story

Hannibal’s tenth episode, Buffet Froid, finally clues us in regarding what’s been causing Will Graham’s apparent slide into insanity. While the truth is revealed to us, it is kept from Will, as Hannibal Lector failes to let Will know what he has known for months, that Will is suffering from treatable encephalitis. As Hannibal kills again, there is a witness to the crime who could very well spearhead his eventual downfall.

Nurse Jackie – Teachable Moments Review: Jackie Stands Up Bravely (Thanks to Edie Falco)

Jackie’s family is not shown at all in this episode as we focus primarily on the drama going down at the hospital. Jackie finally has a talk with Gloria about her forgetfulness after she forgets to order an escort for a psych patient and the patient ends up trashing the medicine room. Also, a cop admitted to the hospital results in progress in Jackie’s relationship with Frank.
