True Blood – F*** the Pain Away Review: A Poorly Constructed Episode Misses the Mark

HBO’s True Blood missed the mark with its sixth episode, “Fuck the Pain Away.” A mess of disconnected storylines saw Billith take control of Warlow, Sookie attacked by a possessed Lafayette, and Jessica, Pam, Tara, and Eric captured and taken to Vampire Camp. While the storylines remained largely static, there were some bright spots amid the chaos, but the episode was largely a disappointment.

Sean, who we find out was involved with his dad being sent to prison, has trouble with his father and one of his brothers, while another actor is being blackmailed by a transvestite with a videotape. Mickey also goes out with the family for the day, angering Ray, who threatens Mickey’s life.

This will be no standard comedy tour, however, since Tig will be performing her comedy on a variety of fan’s homes. Fans of the comedian can apply to become a part of the project and potentially host one of the performances.

True Blood – At Last Review: Warlow Has Arrived

HBO’s True Blood finally revealed the identity of the dangerous Warlow, and it turns out it was the charming faerie drifter Ben. Sookie staged an attack on the half fae/half vampire Warlow, but not before Warlow sent Niall to another dimension, leaving Sookie and Jason vulnerable. Eric turned Ella Burrell into a vampire, while Billith learned it would be incredibly hard to synthesize faerie blood – especially now that Jessica has drained the four halflings.
