THQ has announced that the next installment in the MX vs. ATV will be MX vs. ATV Alive. The game will be released in May with a price of $39.99 for the XBOX 360 and the PS3. I have always enjoyed the MX vs. ATV games, but it has been an awhile since I have played one. With this price point they are sure to attract myself and other people back into the series.
THQ also announced that the game will introduce the new “Bar-to-Bar” mechanic. Which sounds like you will be able to punch and elbow other dudes in order to get first place. Alive will also feature better terrain deformation, better controls, and collision which will help add more realism to Alive. With all these features the game will be more accessible to a wider audience base. It amazes me that this franchise has sold over 10 million units in the franchise history.
Of course MX vs. ATV Alive will also feature a robust physics engine. The physics in most of the past MX vs. ATV games have always been pretty good. THQ has listened to its fan base on what they want in a new game and they hope to be able to deliver this May for only $39.99 on XBOX 360 and PS3.
