The Legend of Korra – Out of the Past

“Out of the Past” was, as suggested by its title, very much about the past as Korra finally succeeded in connecting spiritually with Aang, the previous Avatar. The Top Three Problems with Game of Thrones

After ten weeks of exciting storytelling, Game of Thrones‘s second season bowed out with a couple of episodes that ramped up the action and brought the proceedings to an appropriately enticing resting place. Game of Thrones – Valar Morghulis

Following the excitements of the battle of Blackwater Bay, “Valar Morghulis” was very much about rewarding friends and settling scores, even in places and storylines very removed from King’s Landing and its recent clash of kings. The season finale of Game of Thrones also brought most of the year’s storylines to a resting point, providing a sense of wonder in the process, something very different from the emotions of the adrenaline-fueled scenes of the previous week.

‘Grimm’ Casting News and a Look at Season Two

NBC’s modest hit Grimm has just wrapped it freshman season, but we are already hearing about what it has in store for us in the fall. Zap2it reports that James Frain (“True Blood”) has been cast as the brother of Captain Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz) on the dark fantasy series. Grimm ended its maiden season with a finale that tried to deal with some of its mysteries while introducing new ones. The biggest new addition being arguably the “resurrection” of Nick’s mother played by Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.
