AMC’s CEO Josh Sapan has said that the network’s hit drama The Walking Dead will not be going anywhere in the near future. Emerging this past year as the most watched cable drama, the zombie drama is set to anchor AMC’s line-up with the upcoming losses of Breaking Bad and Mad Men.
“Children of Men” is efinitely one of the more successful episodes of the series’ first season; after a string of unimpressive installments, the story takes on more intriguing situations that give way to much needed character development and unexpected twists. With just one episode left in the first season of Revolution, tensions are high in anticipation of the final chapter.
Dan Harmon reportedly told the audience at his weekly podcast that he has been invited by Sony to return to work on the fifth season of NBC’s Community. Harmon was the creator and former showrunner of the comedy, and was famously fired after the show’s third season, following a war of words with Chevy Chase and low ratings for the cult comedy.
FX has ordered a pilot of an adaptation of the Swedish comedy show Ulveson and Herngren. Titled The Comedians, the show would star Billy Crystal as a veteran comic, paired with a young, edgy comedian to write for a sketch comedy program. Along with Crystal, Matt Nix and Larry Charles are set to executive produce and co-write.
Nominations for the Critic’s Choice TV Awards have been announced. FX’s American Horror Story and CBS’s The Big Bang Theory lead the way with six nominations each.
“The Better Half” takes a slightly more grounded approach than its franctic predecessor making it one of the more successfull episodes of the season. The compelling stories and character interactions gave way to fabulous performances and an enjoyable Mad Men experience.
Jackie’s family is not shown at all in this episode as we focus primarily on the drama going down at the hospital. Jackie finally has a talk with Gloria about her forgetfulness after she forgets to order an escort for a psych patient and the patient ends up trashing the medicine room. Also, a cop admitted to the hospital results in progress in Jackie’s relationship with Frank.
