The Cinemax action drama Banshee will be hosting a panel event Friday July 19th at San Diego Comic-Con. Entertainment Weekly has released the first look at the special Comic-Con posters that will be available for fans at the convention.
HBO has announced the renewal of the network’s hit vampire drama True Blood. The fantasy show, currently airing its sixth season, will come back for a seventh season in the summer of 2014.

HBO’s True Blood missed the mark with its sixth episode, “Fuck the Pain Away.” A mess of disconnected storylines saw Billith take control of Warlow, Sookie attacked by a possessed Lafayette, and Jessica, Pam, Tara, and Eric captured and taken to Vampire Camp. While the storylines remained largely static, there were some bright spots amid the chaos, but the episode was largely a disappointment.

Diane Kruger has made the switch to television with her new series The Bridge. The show focuses on the border between the United States and Mexico and the crime that occurs there. Kruger plays a detective in El Paso who is forced to work with Marco Ruiz, a detective across the border, after a body turns up, and their character relationships are tested just as expected in the world of the border patrol.
