Anna Torv is set to make her return to television in Ryan Murphy’s new TV movie, slated to premiere on HBO. Torv, previously seen on Fringe, will play the lover of Jennifer Jason Leigh.
NBC entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt offered a harsh critique of the current TV landscape and took swipes at The Walking Dead and Girls during the TCA network panel. Greenblatt also claimed that NBC had a strong season, compared to the channel’s past problems.
New details are beginning to emerge regarding Fox’s reboot of 24. Titled 24: Live Another Day, the series is set to star Kiefer Sutherland once again, and will begin airing in April of 2014. Each episode will cover more than the traditional hour of a day, due to only having 12 episodes rather than 24.
Ray continues to pursue his father and finally finds out about the FBI agent that has been following him. He and Avi both fear that the agent may be on to them. Ezra gets in a car accident at the beginning of the episode setting the tone for the rest of the hour, and he later reveals is dying of a brain tumor.
“This Little Piggy” is an adequate episode of Dexter with some truly fantastic moments, but is ultimately hindered by rushed character progression and plot points that are wrapped up too neatly. The performances ( Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, and Charlotte Rampling) continue to be the most successful aspect of the series.
