ABC’s new drama from Joss Whedon, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., will be without one of Marvel’s most recognizable superhero teams. The X-Men are barred from appearing on the series due to contract issues with Fox, the studio who owns the TV and film rights to the characters.
Cynthia Nixon will be joining the cast of NBC’s Hannibal when it returns for its sophomore season in the spring of 2014. Nixon, who is best known for her work on HBO’s Sex and the City, will play a character investigating Laurence Fishburne’s Jack Crawford.
