The Originals, The Tomorrow People, and Reign can celabrate Christmas early now that The CW has given full season orders to all three dramas. Though the order for The Originals is not much of a surprise as it is the network’s best rated new show, the desicion to extend both The Tomorrow People and Reign shows the network’s commitment to the new seres and its hope they will continue to mantain and gain viewers.
“Gerontion” is free of the tiresome and irritating Brody family drama but fails to engage on an emotional and even narrative level. Despite some intriguing plot developments and adequate narrative advancement, the episode is an underwhelming string of events with a couple of highlights here and there.
AMC’s The Walking Dead went for action over character development with Internment. After a week away from the prison, we got a look into how Herschel, Sasha, Glenn, and the rest of the infected were holding up. We also received a visit from an old friend as the Governor resurfaced.
HBO has released the trailer for the final season of David Simon’s Treme. The New Orleans set series will end its four year run with a five episode fourth season in December.
FX has announced the premiere dates for several of the networks shows. Among the announcements are the premiere dates for Justified, Archer, and new comedy Chozen. The network has also announced that The Americans, Ali G: Resurrection, and Legit will premiere in February.
The Ali G Show is making its way to new network FXX. Sacha Baron Cohen has struck a deal with the network to create a new show that will take existing material of the satirical show and re-air them with new content from the comedian
