Stranger Things and Peanuts Mash Up Hits Internet

Stranger Things and Peanuts have a lot in common when you stop to think about. Both feature precocious kids with heavy-duty problems dealing with adults (such as parents and teachers) with whom they can’t seem to communicate. A couple of YouTubers, Leigh Lahav and Oren Mendez, clearly had the same realization when they created their animated short that mashes up the Netflix smash hit with the holiday classic, A Charlie Brown Christmas. Lahay and Mendez’s “A Stranger Things Christmas” places Will Byers in the Charlie Brown role as the one character unable to get into the holiday spirit. Will arguably has a better case for being depressed—after all, he’d only recently escaped the horror of the Upside Down. However, after talking with his friends Dustin, Lucas, Mike, and Eleven, he discovers the true meaning of Christmas.
