Fans of last year's excellent Wolfenstein: The New Order, rejoice! Bethesda & Machine Games have announced a new standalone prequel to that game, titled Wolfenstein: The Old Blood.
Set in 1946, with the Nazis close to winning this universe's version of World War II, it sees B.J. Blazkowicz going on another of those Nazi-killing missions he just loves to indulge in. Apparently it's split into two parts, 'Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves' and 'The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabb.'
It's out on the May 5th in physical and digital forms for PlayStation 4 and PC, and digital-only for Xbox One. No word on last-gen versions and no explanation was given for the omission of a boxed version on Xbox One, although you can probably fill in the gaps yourself. It's a shame but I'm sure digital-only will be fine for what will probably be a more bite-sized bit of Wolfy good times.
