Sniper: Ghost Warrior Sequel Takes Aim At CryEngine 3
City Interactive, developer of last year's surprisingly successful Sniper: Ghost Warrior for 360 and PC, and its subsequent PS3 port, have announced that a sequel is in the works. Producer Michal Sroczynski revealed the game for the first time during an interview with Eurogamer.se, but he remained tight-lipped about the project. The only tidbit that was released was the game's new engine: Crytek's super-powerful CryEngine 3 will be used to craft the game for a simultaneous release on PS3, 360, and PC.
The original Ghost Warrior suffered from a number of bugs and graphical glitches, not to mention some uneven gunplay. With Crytek's newest technology powering the sequel, it will be interesting to see if these issues are remedied.
