Top 5 Worst Episodes of Lost

Lost was an amazing television show and we could spend days talking about the best moments. However, in a show with about 121 episodes there are bound to be some that clearly are not up to the quality of the rest. Some bad apples, if you will. Once again, this is a personal list, but I tried to take into account the beliefs of LOST fans. While you may not agree on the list, I think we can all agree that LOST continues to be on our minds and even with these bad episodes we wouldn’t trade that time for anything. A quick note; I am using only one Kate episode, I could easily make the whole list nothing but Kate episodes if I’m not careful. And don’t worry, I’m not a pessimist the top five best is coming soon. So let’s get started:

Green Lantern character posters reveal Sinestro, Hector

Just because Comic Con is over doesn’t mean that we have to wait a while to see anything big from next year’s anticipated blockbusters. Warner Bros. has released four new character posters (that fit together) featuring Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds), Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), Sinestro (Mark Strong) and Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard). In addition to the faces, the posters, all together, contain part of the Green Lantern oath, which ought to get any fanboy giddy.

Comic Con Movies: Green Lantern Panel

The footage was short and DC’s Geoff Johns didn’t have any surprises, but The Green Lantern panel drummed up a decent amount of enthusiasm for the June 2011 film. On the panel was Johns, producer Donald Deline, director Martin Campbell, writer Greg Berlanti and stars Ryan Reynolds (Hal Jordan aka The Green Lantern), Blake Lively (Carol Ferris), Peter Sarsgaard (Hector Hammond) and Mark Strong (Sinestro).

Scott Pilgrim VS The World Vol 2. – Review

There’s a phenomenon that occurs when one reads Scott Pilgrim. The book becomes nearly impossible to put down once you’ve begun reading. I have loaned, bought and gifted the first book numerous times and the results are always the same: The reader doesn’t stop. What’s more amazing is that this will happen each time you read the book, as was my experience upon re-reading this volume.

The second issue is perhaps my favorite in the series. Probably because it has one of the most brilliant and thought provoking flashbacks of any medium. The story begins with Scott moving to a new town. Within his first five steps onto the school grounds he’s confronted by bullies. O’Malley lays down a key personality trait for Scott in these exact moments: Scott never backs down. He takes on the bullies and winds up in the principal’s office all before attending his first class. Sitting outside the office he meets Lisa, a cute young girl that leaves a lasting impression on Scott. That last bit’s sarcasm.

DVD/Blu-ray DISCussion (New for 6.15.10)

This week we take a look at some January 2010 films: Denzel Washington in the post-apocalyptic action film The Book of Eli and Michael Cera in the C.D Payne book adaptation Youth in Revolt. On Blu-ray, Sam Raimi’s cult classic (aren’t all of his cult classics?) Darkman with Liam Neeson and the ’80s incarnation of timeless sci-fi hero Flash Gordon.

“Clash of the Titans 2” moving full speed ahead

It is no secret that Warner Bros. had a box office hit in Clash of the Titans, which made more than $300 million domestically on a $125 million budget. So despite many poor reviews, news of a sequel isn’t too surprising either. The studio is making a huge push to get the film in the works before star Sam Worthington ends up in Pandora again for the next Avatar sequel. Three writers have been hired to get the job done and improve upon the original, according to THR’s Heat Vision.

Blue Beetle Live Action TV Show?

Coming from Geoff Johns’ Twitter feed is news that DC Entertainment is filming a live action test for a live action Blue Beetle TV show. The test is of the character Jamie Reye’s (The current Blue Beetle) activating his Scarab suit. Johns also stated on the feed that if he could he would be bringing the footage to Comic Con in July. The Brave and Bold cartoon show will also be featuring the character for most of the new season in order to increase the public’s awareness.

He starts the morning off by taking a stroll on the beach outside of his mansion. Soon he finds himself going down memory lane to the time he first met Bruce Banner, the man who would forever change his life.

Sixteen years ago in Cambridge England, Leonard Williams and Bruce Banner share a heart to heart moment. Bruce tells Leonard that he wants to join his team which leads to each man opening up and sharing their insecurities they have about their bodies. Leonard, being disabled, needs crutches to walk. While Bruce, doesn’t feel right in his own skin. Bruce shares with Leonard that he has the recipe for the perfect human specimen because his country isn’t interested in super soldiers anymore.

“Sherlock Holmes 2” set for December 2011

Sherlock Holmes was one of the most popular films of 2009. With this success a sequel was quickly commissioned. Now Barry Meyer, Chairman and CEO of Warner Brothers, has confirmed Sherlock Holmes 2 will be released in mid-December 2011, with the aim to capitalize yet again on the popular Christmas season.

Copycat continues to narrate the teams experiences on an Earth filled with simple native people. She recalls her first encounter with former team-mate Bliss and her tribe. Bliss’ first encounter was different than the other members of the team. She was forcefully taken by a tribe of Amazon-type women. She’s fascinated as she attempts to use her powers of emotions on them, only to find that they don’t work. Apparently the “Drones” that found Bliss were raised to be emotionless to better serve the tribe.

From there Bliss is held prisoner until approached by a member of the tribe. Bliss attacks her and kills her before being detained again. Later that night she’s given a way to earn her freedom by saving two lives. One of the tribe is struggling to give birth and the tribe is afraid that she’ll not only loose the baby but also her life. Bliss is more of a giver of pain than joy, so it’s an unusual task to help someone with positive emotions. She calms the pregnant woman allowing her to have an easy birth and saves two lives earning her freedom.
