Battlefield: Bad Company 2 VIP Map Pack 4 Out Now

Once again, a slate of “new” maps has hit Bad Company 2 and once again, they’re maps that have been modified to function in different gametypes.

Still, it’s one of the more exciting additions. Atacama Desert Rush and Port Valdez Conquest. I mean, sure, absolutely, you know what these maps are, but the kind of gameplay in Rush and Conquest are substantially different from one another and I can’t wait to stop writing this little news article and start getting some games in. Look at what happened to Laguna Presa when it was modified into a Rush mode; it became a new map and I hope the same happens to Atacama and Port Valdez.

Critical Millennium: The Dark Frontier #1

If there’s one thing that’s hard to find, it’s good sci-fi! Thankfully with TV shows and movies breathing new life into the genre its forced other mediums to take it up a notch. Critical Millennium is no exception as it antes up and then raises. It’s a little bit Event Horizon mixed with some Cowboy Bebop and a dash of a post apocalyptic future in which nearly every animal is extinct.

Man has finally created a space ship that is faster than light and designed to reach every corner of the universe. The issue begins with a journal entry from th e captain of the ship as he sits at his post on the bridge. The days and years jump as the captain narrates the ships numerous disasters. Space is more dangerous then any of them knew. The logs end as the captain is removed from his ship by a gigantic space creature.

A Single Man Review

You won’t find a more visually immaculate film than A Single Man. Gucci revolutionizer Tom Ford’s film debut, now available on DVD and Blu-ray, is something out of an inch-thick fashion magazine. His eye for beauty and sensuality might be unparalleled in Hollywood with just this one entry. Applied to the story of a man torn apart inside with the loss of his lover as he tries to get through a normal day, A Single Man gets directly inside its protagonist’s head with a barrage of emotion-evoking imagery. Although it sometimes feels like a cologne commercial, it’s a remarkable first effort and a touching story commanded gracefully by Colin Firth.

The 4th of July is upon us and what better way to celebrate then to take a look at some of the most patriotic comic characters that are out there. Right off the bat we’re going to eliminate Captain America and any of his numerous knock offs (US Agent, Fighting American… Bucky, you get the picture). Instead these are the characters that love this country so much that they bleed red, white and blue.
