Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: More Characters Revealed

As New York Comic Con rolls on, the announcements continue to come in. One of the latest is Marvel’s announcement of two new characters for the hyped Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and both characters are, strangely enough, Capcom fighters. The first is Arthur from the famed Ghost ‘n’ Goblins series, sporting his trademark javelin. He begins each battle wearing his full suit of armor, which can be knocked off with enough hits. It is unclear whether or not the loss of the armor affects his move set or his defensive stats, but if it does it could definitely flesh out the character and make him stand out among the crowd.

Filled with embarrassingly obvious tangents, plot holes, and low quality 3-D effects, Wes Craven’s latest flick, My Soul to Take, is a muddled and terribly paced failure to thrill or even entertain. In fact, it might just be the most poorly crafted film of the year.

Buried Review

Buried centers solely, and I mean solely, upon Paul Conroy. He is a trucker working in Iraq who is overtaken, captured, and buried by locals. He awakens to find himself entombed with a phone, lighter, and writing utensil. The next 90 minutes are his frantic attempt at rescue via phone call, after phone call, after phone call. And therein lays the major problem with any single place film — inevitable boredom.

Respawn: X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse

When somebody says the word “superhero,” you usually don’t picture Wolverine combing through his inventory and agonizing over how high his defense stat could be.

Yet that’s the picture painted by X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse. You would think the over-the-top antics of comic book superheroes and stat-driven RPG gameplay would be an awkward mash-up, yet X-Men Legends and its successors, the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games, managed to make that series work for the better part of a decade.

Dexter – My Bad (Season Premiere)

Lock up your daughters and put the kids to bed, because Dexter is back on TV and if previous seasons are anything to go by, there will be plenty of body parts flying about. Last season ended with the death of Dexter’s wife, Rita and was perhaps the most poignant moment experienced by television audiences that year. My Bad portrays the aftermath of Rita’s murder and Dexter’s struggle to come to terms with his feelings or more specifically, whether he has any at all.
