‘Expendables 2’ Teaser: A Belt-Fed Barrage of Star Power

The opening monologue suggests that Bruce Willis’ CIA operative from the first film will have a personal stake in the next mission for Barney Ross and his band of merry mercs. That’s as much context as you get, and honestly, probably want: The rest of the trailer is a surprisingly reserved roll-call of all the film’s stars doing little more than brandishing obscenely large weapons while grimacing.

‘Rock of Ages’ Will “Rock” You in First Trailer

If American Idol and Glee have taught us anything, it’s that people really, really, like watching glitzy re-packagings of hit songs from yesteryear. Will The Imperial Agent Define Star Wars: The Old Republic?

Killing a space warthog with a lightsaber is pretty much the same thing as hitting a magical warthog with a magic sword. It’s neat to see a MMO in a sci-fi setting like Bioware’s upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic as opposed to the usual fantasy world, but the question remains as to what will make this game more than “World of Warcraft, but Star Wars”?

New Game of Thrones Teaser

During last night’s season two finale of Boardwalk Empire, a new teaser for the upcoming second season of fantasy-drama Game of Thrones was aired. At 45 seconds in length, it stands at three times longer than the first teaser that we got a few months back, but still reveals little about the new season that finished filming recently. The teaser features a voiceover from Stannis Baratheon (played by Stephen Dillane) reinforcing the facts that the season finale left us with – that he is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne and war is most certainly coming to those that oppose him. Check it out for yourself below and be sure to catch up with season one of the HBO drama before the second season hits in April.

Epic Reveals First Glimpse of New IP

Epic has revealed their new IP: Fortnite.  Details are scarce right now, but as seen in the short trailer, the game features a cartoony art style and looks to be a zombie survival game.  According to Epic’s Cliff Bleszinski, players will be able to “explore, scavenge, build and survive.”

In a short interview with Mike Schramm [Joystiq], Bleszinski said the idea for the game was pitched internally.  “I was a staunch supporter of the idea, because the game is just like a no-brainer — I was like, yes.”  Although Lee Perry is the project lead for Fortnite, Bleszinski will be involved providing feedback as the game develops.
