Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 6 is getting a big title update in December that will include camera options, a new harder difficulty, and more on both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions for free. One of the big changes addresses the camera, which is one of many issues I personally had with the game. With this update, the camera can be adjusted to have a greater field of view. The image below shows off the new change, which is similar to the view of the last two games in the franchise.
Another big change in this new RE6 update relates to Ada Wong's campaign. Originally, Ada's campaign is unlocked when you beat the other three campaigns first, but now it will be available from the start. In addition, an optional co-op partner is now added into the campaign. This partner is just a BSAA soldier, but Capcom didn't clarify what his playstyle will be in Ada's campaign and whether or not he will be playable in the Mercenaries mode.
The last big addition is "No Hope Difficulty," which is harder than Professional for those that wanted an extra challenge when playing the campaigns. Resident Evil 6 is not the only game Capcom is updating in December as Street Fighter X Tekken is also getting a big title update with some major gameplay balance changes. More maps for Mercenaries mode are also coming as downloadable content in the coming weeks along with more multiplayer modes in the months to come. If you want to know more about the game, our review is here if you're still not sure of picking it up. The PC version of Resident Evil 6 is expected to be released sometime next month, but the game is already out on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
