Sony has just released a new price for its polarizing handheld, the PSP Go. Originally released for $249.99, the device will now retail for $199.99. The PSP Go has a smaller screen than the original PSP and lacks a UMD player which makes your collection of UMD games obsolete. The device makes you download all your games directly from the PS Store even though not every PSP game is available for download on the PS Store. So you can forget about playing Metal Gear Acid 1 and 2. The new price may also reflect details of Sony's worst kept secret, the PSP 2. Sony has yet to make an official announcement regarding the new device, but a price drop for the old hardware paves the way for the release of a new platform.
