Netflix to Become Disc-free on PS3

From October 18 you will now be able to watch Netflix movies and TV shows without a disc on your PS3. Netflix have provided an online streaming service on the PS3 for a while, but it previously always required a special disc to be in the machine anytime you were using the service

Sonic Anniversary Coming Next Summer?

A mysterious Sega project has once again been brought to light, this time as Sonic Anniversary. Izaskun Urretabizkaia, the marketing director at Sega, has let some details slip on the rumored title. Apparently Sega is planning to release a compilation of classic Sonic levels from the Genesis heyday with an advanced graphical overhaul.

PSN And Store Releases For The Week of 10/12/10

The biggest store release for this week is probably Medal of Honor, which EA have been trying to suggest for a long time will be a Modern Warfare killer, although the early reviews so far have not been completely positive for it.

GT5 Delayed Again

It has just been confirmed that Gran Turismo 5 will now miss its November 2nd release date. This is the latest in a long string of delays for what is possibly the most anticipated PS3 game to date. Considering Polyphony Digital’s last full console release was GT4 way back in 2005, that makes GT5 an easy contender for the longest time a game has ever been in production.

Killzone 3 Beta for Plus Subscribers Only

On October 25 a public beta for the highly anticipated Killzone 3 will be made available, although this tantalizing trial will only be accessible for active PlayStation Plus subscribers.

But even if you are a Plus subscriber, in order to actually be one of the lucky 10,000 (5,000 for both the USA and Europe) who get to play the beta, you will first have to download an exclusive theme from the PlayStation Store on October 19. GTA IV Bundle Coming Soon

Rockstar has planned a new bundle release for the latest crop of GTA IV content. Listings from Amazon display Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition which is scheduled for an October 26th release. The bundle will include the core GTA IV game as well as the two DLC episodes The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony.

Costume Quest is Given a Price and Release Date

The studio Double Fine have set the date and price for its unusual adventure game Costume Quest. Now set for an October 20 release for both Xbox Live and PSN, it will cost 1200 Microsoft Points, or $15 for the PS3 version in the US.
