Duke Nukem Forever Gets a Release Date

Take-Two have finally announced a release date for one of the most delayed games ever. Duke Nukem Forever is now scheduled to be released on XBox 360, PS3 and PC on May 3 this year in North America, and May 6 in Europe.

No, seriously. First came the Blood Dragon armor in Mass Effect 2. It was a strange bonus for Bioware fans and looked out of place in Mass Effect’s sci-fi universe. New PS3 Releases This Week (01.17.11)

Finally, the first big games of 2011 are starting to appear.  Although there are only two full PlayStation 3 store releases this week they are both excellent games. LittleBigPlanet 2 is everything that made the original special, but with improvements in all the right places. And Mass Effect 2 is one of the best action RPG’s of the last few years. 
As well as the big games there are a couple good smaller titles new on PSN, including Modern Combat: Domination, and the Japanese import version of the first Mega Man on PSOne.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Announced

Square Enix have announced a direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII, which will be arriving on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011. The game, called Final Fantasy XIII-2, is being made by the same team as Final Fantasy XIII, including the director Motomu Toriyama.

Mass Effect 2 Hitting PSN January 18th

Electronic Arts and Sony have teamed up to bring Mass Effect 2 to the PlayStation Store January 18th. This upcoming Tuesday, look for the game to appear in the PlayStation Store’s weekly update. You may want to clear some room on the hard drive, as the game if going to be a sizable download of over 10GB if it’s any indication of the size of the current releases.

Sony Takes Action Against Hackers

Sony has finally responded to the reports of the PS3 being hacked, and it’s not pretty. Although the electronics giant has yet to release any sort of firmware update to quell the issue, as they had recently promised, they have taken legal action against the hackers in the form of a temporary restraining order.
