2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

FIFA’s World Cup and European Cup games have received a deservedly bad reputation throughout the years. They’re usually rushed out to coincide with the big event not long after the latest annual outing; often skimming over substantial features and adding nothing new to the gameplay despite their full pricing. 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa looks to break up this disappointing formula, featuring a plethora of new and unique features whilst improving upon the already fantastic FIFA 10 engine. It’s an impressive package, but whether it’s worth it for owners of FIFA 10 remains to be seen.

Little Big Planet 2 Details Coming

Little Big Planet is one of those games that stole the hearts of millions of people who have a PS3.  I remember the first time I saw this game and thinking how much charm it has, and if they can nail down the customization it could be a big hit.  When it came out, people started creating insane amounts of levels with an interface that was quick and easy to use.  Loading up new levels and seeing what each person created is what made Little Big Planet just a blast to play and what made it stand out from everyone else.

LittleBigPlanet 2 First Trailer

Hey! It’s a LittleBigPlanet 2 trailer! And! It’s looking very, very good. Exclamation points! I had hard time wondering just what Media Molecule could do to expand the toolset. Zipper Interactive Defends Playstation Move

SOCOM developer Zipper Interactive’s Travis Steiner spoke regarding SOCOM 4, the Playstation Move, and addressing skeptical fans. For all those that are worried that the Move will ruin the experience of the future SOCOM games, Steiner assures fans that everything is going to be fine. Zipper has designed SOCOM 4 with the standard DualShock controller in mind, and that the Move controller is just another option.

In regards to the quality of the motion controls, Steiner asserts that they work quite well and players have reacted positively to the new control scheme. Both control schemes have the same functionality. However, testing has shown that the Move offers faster and superior target acquisition. Mr. Steiner believes that people that prefer to play shooters on their PC will see the type precision and fluid movement from Move that they get from a mouse and keyboard.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Review

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is easily the biggest and most talked about PS3 exclusive of the year, some even going so far to call it the best game of this generation and the savior of the PS3. Whether it’s the best game this generation so far, or even if the PS3 needs a “savior” is up for debate, but this is one of the few times in gaming where a game with ridiculous amounts of hype actually meets expectations.  Much like the first game, this follows treasure hunter Nathan Drake through one of his adventures. Nathan Drake as a character is a nice break from the typical, stoic gruff voiced guys, that are the leads in most video games. While many video game leads are more of a Bruce Willis or Sylvester Stallone, Nathan Drake looks, acts, and almost sounds like actor Nathan Fillion (from Firefly/Serenity). Whose characters usually have a flippant and sarcastic sense of humor about them.
