How Can Sony Fix The PSN Debacle?

Now that
extensive measures have been put into place to protect the future
integrity of the network, Sony is readying the online services, at
least partially, to become live again the week of May 1. The rebuilt
infrastructure will sport some heavier security protocols and has
been relocated to a different facility. In order make amends with its
patient and loyal customer and fan base, the company is promoting a
“Welcome Back” program which will give users a chance to access
some premium content for a limited time, for free. While this may be
a nice gesture, most users are stating that it’s simply not enough to
counter the bad—and would like to see a different, more satisfying
approach.

Portal 2 (PS3) Review

Portal
changed gaming. There is no way around it. It was imaginative, funny,
and just a hell of a lot of fun. However, when Valve announced Portal
2,
I wasn’t too sure about it. But you will be happy to know that it
is easily better!

Portal
2
takes place after the end of the first game, and your failure to
get cake. You wake up many years after the first game and
you can obviously tell. It almost looks like someone took a wrecking
ball to the place. Though upon GlaDOS’s return it does change back to
the same Aperture Science building you remember. This time Chell is
not alone. She has the quirky personality core Wheatley
at her side, as well as other interesting sources that are there to
give you hints, and poke fun at you. The game takes many twists and
turns, and faster than you can say “potato” you find yourself in
many other locations unlike the first.

Sony Merging DC Universe Online Into Four Servers

I am not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.  I guess it is good in a sense that more people will be on the servers to be able to do the game’s content, but also bad because the game may not have the amount of people that company was expecting. As for the PSN people hopefully the game becomes playable soon.

Valve Announces Free Portal 2 DLC

Less
than two weeks have passed since the release of the smash hit sequel
Portal 2, and developer Valve Software has already announced
and revealed the game’s first DLC pack. It has also been confirmed
that the new content, which should arrive this summer, will be
absolutely free of charge! That’s right, Valve is complementing their
new release with some early expansion that wont cost a dime. Little
information has been released but it is rumored that the DLC (which
remains to see an official title) will include a variety of new
single player and cooperative test chambers along with challenge
modes, leaderboards, new mutilplayer modes and more! Perhaps new bot
skins and accessories will be added or a new iteration of the game’s
web comic.

New Assassin’s Creed Title Leaked?

Due to an apparently botched reveal on Ubisoft’s Facebook
page, details of the upcoming Assassin’s
Creed
title may have been leaked.

According to a developing thread on the NeoGAF message board,
Ubisoft posted a Flash file containing the title “Assassin’s Creed: Revelations” and the name “Altair”, in Arabic script, on the official Assassin’s Creed Facebook page. What this may mean is that whether
you return as the protagonist of the original title, Altair, or as Ezio from Assassin’s Creed 2 and AC: Brotherhood, more of Altairs history
maybe revealed in the next game.
