BioShock Infinite Gets Release Date In October

After extremely strong performances at pretty much every show that it has been presented at, BioShock: Infinite (the second BioShock game developed by Irrational Games) finally has a much more solid release date other than Fall 2012, and that date is October 16^th (for North America), and October 19^th (for the rest of the world).  If you can recall the feature article that we did a while back, BioShock: Infinite was the game that I was (and still am) most looking forward to this year, so to see it get a solid release date is always good news, even if the date itself is a little far away.

Most of the information that we have about the actual gameplay of BioShock: Infinite came from the 15-minute demo that was presented at E3 2011, but considering the date that it will be released, and that E3 is in June, there could be a chance that there will be a playable build of Infinite at this years E3, which I find much more intriguing than the demo presented last E3.  Between the release of BioShock: Infinite (on the 16^th), and Assassin’s Creed III (on the 30^th), October is quickly shaping to be a month of very heavy hitters, somewhat akin to the late year flood of tremendous games in 2011.     

DC Universe Online is Getting new DLC

DC Universe Online has already gone free to play but that doesn’t mean it is being abandoned.  The third installment of DLC is coming to both PlayStation 3 and PC.  Although no price has been announced, “Legendary” members will have free access to the expansion pack while free and premium players will be able to purchase the additional content through the in-game marketplace on PS3 and PC players will be able to purchase off of DCUniverserOnline.com. 

Ratchet and Clank HD Collection Probably Coming

Shocking news for everyone I’m sure is that a collection of the Reatchet and Clank PS2 games re-released for PS3 in HD could be on its way.

Assassins Creed 3 releasing October 30th

Along with revealing the box art for Assassins Creed 3 Ubisoft have also confirmed the next building hoping stabby adventure to release this year on October 30th.

Asura’s Wrath: Review

Asura’s Wrath is such an unusually unique experience I don’t know whether to call it more of a game or an interactive anime or even who to really recommend it to.

Twisted Metal Review: Car-Car-Carnage

Twisted Metal for PlayStation 3 doesn’t reinvent the wheel when it comes to the car combat genre, but it has added some interesting new wrinkles.  New gameplay modes and the inclusion of online multiplayer allowed for the men and women of Eat, Sleep, Play to expand level design to much larger scale and the addition of Talon, the helicopter, completely changes the dynamics of team based games.   Twisted Metal is the biggest it has ever been and still maintains the gritty, insane feel of the original.  It does what it does very well and at the same time… doesn’t.  Allow me to explain.
