Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Will Be Region Free
Persona 4 Arena by Atlus and Arc System Works was a great fighting game that kept the
Persona spirit intact. Unfortunately, Europeans weren't able to play it right away compared to Japanese and US audiences because it was region blocked. Atlus announced today that won't be a problem with the sequel,
Ultimax, in which the US version will be region free this fall on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax continues the Arena storyline featuring characters from
Persona 4 and
Persona 3. New characters are also playable as well as shadow versions of the existing cast. In fact, one of the new characters, Tohru Adachi, is free for the first week of the game's release as DLC. Pre-order goodies are a Teddie bot bag and the first set of Persona tarot cards. If you want the second set, you have to purchase the 3DS game
Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth.
The game will be playable at Evo 2014, the biggest fighting game tournament in the world, starting tomorrow at the Atlus booth and throughout this weekend.
